Aircraft Electrical Instructor – GP Strategies Government Solutions
GP Strategies Government Solutions (GPGS), an affiliate of GP Strategies, seeks an Aircraft Electrical Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Marietta, GA. The role involves planning and delivering aircraft electrical training for factory production employees and field support personnel.
Responsibilities- Plans and delivers aircraft electrical training programs for factory production employees and field support personnel.
- Conducts training and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Performs data analysis and gathers information for new training; prepares and maintains training materials; and coordinates development of new training materials and training aids.
- Coordinates training content with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Revises lesson plans to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements.
- Instills and maintains process discipline through classroom instruction and lab sessions.
- Interfaces with supervisors to determine training and certification requirements for assigned personnel and makes recommendations for de‑certification due to substandard performance or inability to complete tasks within established time parameters.
- Analyzes current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.
- Executes and maintains company‑wide training programs and the training and qualification record system.
- Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including courseware maintenance.
- Prepares classrooms, sets up training materials, and conducts classroom, shop, and simulator training (if required) with customers to develop and maintain a high degree of proficiency.
- Experience in aircraft avionics or electrical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus and will be considered alongside experience.
- Experience with instructional delivery on electrical and electronic systems.
- ANIS‑J‑STD‑001 Soldering Instructor Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of test equipment required to test and isolate VSWR anomalies is a plus.
- Military aviation experience is a plus.
- Sedentary work – occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Fingering (typing), communicating, repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read; may need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
- Working in protected environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
