POSITION

Aircraft Structural Technology Instructor

QUICK LOOK

Under supervision of the Aviation Program Director, this position is responsible for all aspects of instruction in the Aircraft Structural Technology program

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complies with FAA regulations in all aspects of Aviation programs and continuance activities.
  • Develops and implements instructional delivery that is stimulating, thought provoking and engaging to students in face-to-face, online and lab settings.
  • Oversees safety compliance including safe lab practices per EPA regulations and OSHA standards.
  • With the Aviation Program Director, manages the program budget and other fiscal resources.
  • Instructors will work with the Aviation Program Director, the Dean and other faculty members and academic leadership to meet department, division and college goals.
  • Instructors will advise students and promote recruitment and retention efforts for the Aircraft Structural Technology Program.

This position is a Full-time, 12-month faculty position located on our NEW Aviation Academy Campus at the Paulding County Airport.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Aircraft Structural Technology Diploma OR Five + years working on aircraft structures in a manufacturing or MRO environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Appropriate Industry Certifications
  • Associate Degree in Aircraft Structural Technology or highly related field
  • Working knowledge and experience with teaching in Aircraft Structural Technology
  • Working knowledge and proven experience in program assessments
SALARY / BENEFITS

Annual Salary – $64,680 without A&P license or $69,680 with A&P license. Benefits include: paid holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, which includes health insurance and retirement plans. Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College, not with a specific campus.
