Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Service Life Analysis Engineer for the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) group in Marietta, Georgia. A successful candidate will apply their understanding of Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) analysis using fracture mechanics to develop innovative and ingenious solutions to highly complex technical problems. Responsibilities may include:
- DaDT and fatigue analysis, detail part sizing, and strength assessment of aircraft primary and secondary structure and systems.
- Using crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, Material Review Board (MRB), drawing review, and preparing analysis reports.
- Development of force management source data to actively manage airframe to ensure safe operation.
- Development and implementation of Force Structural Maintenance Plans (FSMPs) and Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) to support force management activities.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position requires a government security clearance and is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills- Understanding of NDI techniques, equipment, and capabilities.
- Technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics methods, and aircraft maintenance requirements.
