AJ Glass is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to serve as both a key technical leader and project manager within our team. This role goes beyond traditional project management, we’re looking for someone who thrives on precision, technical accuracy, and maintaining the highest standards across all projects. In addition to managing select projects, you’ll review submittals, shop drawings, and details prepared by other project managers, providing valuable feedback to ensure consistency and technical excellence company wide.

You’ll serve as a mentor, resource, and quality gatekeeper for the PM team, helping elevate project execution and reduce rework through proactive technical review.

• Manage select commercial glazing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to AJ Glass standards.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
• Support and mentor Project Managers by identifying potential technical issues and guiding them through solutions and best practices.
• Collaborate with CAD technician, Project managers and field teams to identify and resolve design or coordination issues early in the process.
• Serve as a technical resource for the Project Management team, providing guidance on systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Ensure AJ Glass standards are upheld across all projects by performing technical reviews and providing consistent feedback to PMs.
• Support Project Managers in identifying cost or schedule impacts related to design changes, scope gaps, or technical challenges.
• Maintain a proactive role in risk management, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability throughout the project life cycle.
• Monitor overall project performance trends and communicate feedback to senior leadership for continuous improvement.

• 8‑10 + years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on glazing or related fields.
• Deep understanding of glazing systems, curtain wall, storefront, and related hardware and fabrication processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management is a plus, but we also highly value hands on experience.
• Strong ability to interpret and review architectural and structural drawings.
• In depth Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and industry software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Pro DC, Procore).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strong technical skills, sharp attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated, solution‑oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• Ability to walk, stand, or climb ladders for extended periods during site visits.
• Comfortable navigating active construction sites, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (project materials, plans, samples).
