This is a field-based role with travel; you will work on challenging projects that make a difference.
OverviewRole involves commissioning, installation, and startup of electrical and mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities, including switch gear, UPS, generators, and related power equipment.
Responsibilities- Commissioning, installation, and startup of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling towers, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units.
- Protective relay testing and field verification of protection schemes.
- Test, troubleshoot, and commission ATS, UPS, generators, LV/MV switch gear, transformers, PDU, and power metering equipment.
- Design, construction, operation, or maintenance activities related to mission-critical facilities.
- Lead site activities and ensure project timelines are met; strong organizational skills required.
- Safety-focused with a commitment to maintaining a clean safety record.
- Proficiency in PLC control systems, especially Rockwell Automation Platform.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and problem-solving aptitude; advanced understanding of protective relays and circuit breakers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and willingness to work overtime, including overnight stays.
- Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with LV & MV electrical/mechanical power equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel extensively.
- Experience with commissioning, testing, and startup of power-related systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently in field settings.
