Job DetailsWe are seeking a passionate Roadway Engineer to join our award‑winning organization. This role involves designing and implementing roadway projects from conceptual stages to final construction. The position requires a strong understanding of roadway design principles, transportation engineering, and project management.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement detailed design plans for roadway projects using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, InRoads, and Open Roads.
- Conduct structural analysis and feasibility studies for proposed projects, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful execution of projects, from initial proposal through to final delivery.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of transportation engineering to develop innovative and efficient solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Participate in land development processes, including site planning, grading, and stormwater management design.
- Ensure all designs and plans adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure all project objectives and expectations are met.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in roadway design, transportation engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, and other relevant design software.
- Experience with InRoads and Open Roads is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and transportation engineering principles.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A strong understanding of land development processes and principles.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to problem‑solve, think critically, and adapt to changing project needs.
