Description
Respiratory Therapist
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional respiratory care to patients. Key Responsibilities:- Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol treatments
- Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gases
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment progress
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of respiratory equipment
Qualifications:
- Current licensure and registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with relevant licensing boards
- Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting providing respiratory care
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification preferred
