Job Description We are seeking a motivated and passionate Associate Attorney to join our criminal defense team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong interest in criminal law to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of a seasoned attorney. This full-time position offers a base salary of $80,000 per year, with the potential for quarterly bonuses tied to performance goals.
Health insurance benefits are also provided.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research on various topics within criminal defense.Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts.Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters.Stay current on changes in legislation, case law, and best practices in criminal defense.Provide legal advice and support to clients, ensuring their rights are protected.Collaborate closely with the lead attorney and other team members to achieve the best outcomes for clients.Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the state bar association where practicing is required.Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw.Experience in criminal law is preferred but not required; a demonstrated passion for criminal defense is essential.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to litigate cases effectively, negotiate settlements, and advocate fiercely for clients.A desire to learn, grow, and eventually develop your own legal practice.Why Join Us?
