Associate Attorney

Job Description

We are a family law firm seeking a Full Time Associate Attorney. We are a local firm dedicated to providing compassionate and effective representation in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, support, and adoption. We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment and a commitment to helping families navigate difficult transitions with care and professionalism. We are looking for applicants with a J.D. from an accredited law school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft legal documents pertaining to Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Legitimation, Modification and Adoption to including pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Managing cases assigned to you
• Organize and maintain client files, both digital and physical
• Draft client correspondence and assist with case updates
• Perform legal research and compile relevant case information
• Conduct client meetings, court appearances, and mediations
• File documents with the court and coordinate service of process
• Active participation in firm meetings and legal education

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Mac systems,
• Ability to collaborate with and delegate specific tasks to support staff
• Familiarity in interpretation and application of Georgia law, including local rules, state statutes and evidentiary standards
