DescriptionUnder general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for populations with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Responsibilities- Assists with conducting comprehensive assessments of client’s health care needs.
- Assists with conducting community needs assessment.
- Identifies high-risk populations and tailors interventions based on the needs of the population and available resources.
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
- Completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire.
- For RN 1:
No prior experience required (may be hired as RN 1 or RN
2). - For RN 2:
One (1) year of nursing experience. - For RN 3 (internal only):
One (1) year of experience as RN 2 or two (2) years of experience as RN 2 equivalent.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Completed Physical Assessment Course.
- Professional experience in public health nursing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
