Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Marietta, GA

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The RN will provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care to individuals requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care team members, and patient families to ensure coordinated, individualized care.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including cardiac and respiratory status.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following established protocols.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds, bedside shift reports, and care planning.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement standards.
• Maintain current nursing competencies through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or compact state).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or must be obtained within designated timeframe.

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Previous experience in Progressive Care, Telemetry, or Step-Down Unit strongly preferred.
