Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
EssentialFunctions
- Assists with conducting comprehensive assessments of client’s health care needs.
- Assists with conducting community needs assessment.
- Identifies high‑risk populations and tailor interventions based on the needs of the population and the resources available.
RN 1
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
RN 2
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or one year of experience at the lower‑level PH Registered Nurse 1 (HCP
190) or position equivalent.
RN 3 Minimum Qualifications (Internal Only): Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two years of experience at the lower‑level PH Registered Nurse 2 (HCP
191) or position equivalent.
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR Completed Physical Assessment Course. Professional experience in public health nursing. Excellent customer service skills.
Compensation$55,003.33 Annually / Pay Grade K (RN
1)
$61,706.94 Annually / Pay Grade L (RN
2)
$68,519.83 Annually / Pay Grade M (RN
3)
