Job Summary
Join to apply for the Nurse: RN or LPN (Outpatient Clinic) role at Highland Rivers Behavioral Health
. The RN or LPN will work in a mental health environment, providing direct service to individuals such as clinical nursing assessments, labs, injections, and medication management training.
- Provide clinical nursing services, including nursing assessments, injections, medication assistance, PAP assistance, sample medications, re-assessments, TB tests, labs, urine drug screens, HIV/Hep C testing, and vitals; complete all necessary paperwork according to Policy and Procedure.
- Work 40 hours per week to complete 40 hours of billable services per pay period (pro-rated for shorter hours).
- Communicate with medical staff to ensure coordination of treatment, including with PCPs as needed, and advocate with other agencies for resources.
- Assist and support in crisis situations using professional judgment and appropriate intervention techniques.
- Educate individuals and their support system on medications, nutrition, health and wellness, and general mental health and addictive diseases.
- Actively engage in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings each week to develop a comprehensive individualized service plan focused on recovery.
- Maintain therapeutic professional boundaries when working with consumers and families, communicating effectively and calmly with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
- Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines; complete Infection Control reports according to Policy and Procedure.
- Maintain the Nursing Office according to Policy and Procedure, reviewing expiration dates of supplies/medications, temperature logs of refrigerators, and ensuring all equipment/supplies are in good working order/calibration.
- Partner with the physician/nurse practitioner to provide exceptional services for individuals.
