Oncology Charge Nurse; RN Night Shift

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported by shared governance, evidence-based models, and professional standards, while demonstrating accountability, teamwork, delegation, and effective communication.

• Assigns patients, manages patient flow, and participates in staffing planning.
• Rounds on patients, evaluates care quality, and ensures adherence to clinical standards.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and leadership to optimize care outcomes.
• Supports staff development, acts as preceptor, and promotes a culture of safety and excellence.
• Manages resources, participates in performance improvement, and upholds compliance with policies and regulations.
• Engages in evidence-based practice, research, and quality initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.

• Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
• Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact).
• Certifications:
  
  BLS required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; 2 years preferred, including experience as relief charge.
• Strong clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
