Overview

Position:
Customer Service/Sales at The Home Depot. Role involves fast, friendly service, assessing customer needs, selling projects, greeting, qualifying, recommending and closing customers, and supporting adjacent departments. Also responsible for in-stock condition, cleanliness, safety, and safety training, reporting hazards, and cooperating with department and other departments.

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department; know how to handle basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards; complete safety training; correct hazards or report to Manager on Duty; work safely to protect self, coworkers, vendors, and customers.
• Work in cooperation with Department Supervisor and other associates in their department and other departments.
• Possibly work in departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental.
• Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
