Position Overview

As a Security Officer - Armed Guard Card Patrol in Marietta, GA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you support a secure environment and deliver outstanding customer service.

Position Type and Compensation

Paid at $27.03 per hour. Full Time.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security‑related breaches within the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential threats and/or unauthorized individuals.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and site‑specific protocols for armed security‑related operations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
