As a Calibration Technician Level 2, you will perform on‑site and off‑site calibrations, maintain calibration records, and ensure compliance with traceability and audit requirements at customer sites.
Responsibilities- Perform equipment recall for equipment past due and coming due
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records for all calibration activities
- Maintain all calibration program related documentation to meet customer and TRESCAL requirements
- Ensure all calibration activities meet customer and TRESCAL traceability requirements
- Work with purchasing department to specify calibration requirements and coordinate supplier activities
- Retrieve equipment for calibration throughout the customer site where necessary
- Return equipment from calibration to proper locations throughout the customer site where necessary
- Perform calibrations on customer equipment
- Prioritize workload to meet customer process needs
- Communicate current status of all activities to customer
- Support customer audits as they relate to the calibration program
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Military calibration training preferred)
- 4 years previous experience in calibration; minimum of 2 years of Field Calibration experience highly preferred
- Military training or experience (PMEL or TMDE or GPETE or Electronics) OR an Associate Degree in Electronics (or related technical field); OR equivalent work experience & training
- Experience calibrating or working with several different disciplines of test & measurement equipment such as electrical, temperature, pressure, dimensional and torque
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540‑1 requirements
- Very good organizational skills, meticulous with details
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Internet research, data entry, etc
- Experience interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner and providing an excellent customer experience
