Position

Cook at Napoli's Pizza.

This position is responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served to customers. The incumbent ensures exceptional food for the restaurant dining room service, customer pick‑up, delivery, catering, etc., and responds to management and Restaurant Owners. They support high standards for quality, safety and cleanliness.

• Prepare and cook food as requested and ordered by customers, using established policies, protocols and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized process for food preparation and cooking.
• Perform general cooking for multiple areas: dining room, banquet/conference rooms, customer pick‑up, delivery, catering services as needed.
• Replenish and organize food stocks/supplies, working with management to maintain inventory and re‑order necessary supplies.
• Perform safe food preparation, kitchen cleaning and trash removal.
• Ensure food handling safety practices, mark food items and expiration dates, and prevent cross‑contamination.
• Maintain current knowledge of safe and healthy food handling and hold the required food‑handling permit.
• Unload incoming truck loads, assist in unloading, inventory and stocking of supplies.
• Inspect supplies for expiration dates, rotate stock and ensure only fresh food in refrigerators, freezers, pantries.
• Maintain a clean kitchen appearance, reporting issues to management.
• Notify management of supply needs before replenishment is required.
• Work closely with coworkers to provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely, tasty dishes.
• Support management and coworkers to address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, vendors and the general public.
• Show proactive, positive interest in customers and maintain community relationships.
• Comply with all company policies, SOPs, checklists and required rules.
• Follow safety and security practices and complete all departmental checklists (opening, closing, cleaning).
• Complete required training (in‑person, video, classes).
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalence.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1‑2 years’ work experience as a Restaurant Cook.
• Knowledge of food–and–beverage handling practices and food safety training; possession of a current food‑handling permit; ability to obtain Serv Safe Certification as directed.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations and the ability to safely operate industrial kitchen machinery, stoves, grills, ovens, etc.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees, exercising tact and professionalism.
• Professional demeanor, ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment; conscientious and dependable.
• May work near moving or mechanical parts and/or in extreme hot or cold conditions.
• May come into contact with toxic/caustic cleaning chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.
• Physical demands: speak, hear, see, stand for long periods, walk frequently, use full reach and range of motion in arms, hands and fingers; use manual and gross motor skills; bend, stoop, kneel, carry, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Adherence to regular attendance and ability to work evenings, week‑ends and holidays.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance, punctuality and ability to work flexible schedules.
