Business Development Manager (California)

Fine Art Restoration Company is one of the leading fine art and heritage conservation studios in the United Kingdom. We work with private collectors, galleries, insurers, loss adjusters and claims management companies, providing museum‑level restoration for paintings, frames, sculpture, ceramics and specialist objects. We are expanding into the United States and building our California presence.

About the Role

Full‑time Business Development Manager to lead growth and connect with new clients across the region.

What You Will Do
  • Build relationships with independent loss adjusters, TPAs and insurance carriers.
  • Develop new clients across Monterey, Carmel, Santa Cruz and the Bay Area.
  • Meet with galleries, art advisors and high‑value private clients.
  • Attend local art events and industry gatherings.
  • Introduce our services and schedule new business meetings.
  • Follow up on leads and maintain a clear sales pipeline.
  • Provide weekly activity and progress updates.
  • Represent the company in a professional and approachable way.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in business development, sales or client management.
  • Background or contacts in insurance, claims, adjusting, art or luxury sectors preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Confident meeting high‑value clients and industry partners.
  • Self‑motivated, organized and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable travelling locally to meet clients.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation range: $80,000 to $150,000 per year depending on experience.
  • Commission available on new business generated.
  • Full‑time position with long‑term growth opportunities.
