The City of Marinette is seeking a personable, tech‑savvy, and dependable Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our Senior Center
. You’ll work closely with the Senior Center Director to keep things running smoothly – from assisting with events to handling data entry and greeting members with a smile.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and coordinating programs, events, and activities
- Greet and assist guests in‑person and over the phone
- Process payments for classes, programs, and events
- Manage records, data entry, and general admin tasks
- Support social media updates and marketing materials (especially Facebook)
- Support the Director in coordinating volunteers and managing communication
- Help set up and take down rooms for activities, and serve as backup when the Director is unavailable
You’ll be a part of a team that makes a real impact in the lives of older adults in our community – all in a fun, supportive environment.
The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday working 20 hours per week.
Salary: The 2025 hourly pay for this position is $14.00/ hour. This position is eligible for the annual cost of living adjustment (COLA) pending City Council approval.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required;
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), organized and friendly, comfortable with customer service and handling payments, able to lift/move tables and chairs occasionally, and experience working with older adults is a plus.
Residency: Not applicable to this position.
