Job DescriptionTyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) is currently recruiting a Chemical Process Engineer to work at its Marinette, Wisconsin site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve existing equipment by collaborating with maintenance, supervision, and material control.
- Improve existing manufacturing processes to increase safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Conceive, investigate, evaluate, and recommend new equipment and tooling.
- Write capital expenditure requests, equipment performance specifications, and other documentation to support factory operations.
- Manage and participate in Health, Safety, Environmental, Production, Material Control, 6 Sigma, and R&D project teams.
- Advocate for Tyco’s core values of Teamwork, Accountability, Excellence, and Integrity.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day process engineering responsibilities for the dry chemical plant and AFFF foam blending operations.
- Project management of capital investment projects to improve safety, quality, and delivery cost.
Education/
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
Technical
Skills:
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and designing pumping, piping systems, and equipment for liquids and powders.
- Highly developed mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capital project management and equipment installation.
- Root Cause Analysis techniques and Six Sigma methodologies.
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
