Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $27.00/hr

CNC Operator – 2nd and 3rd Shift

Pay: $21 - $27 plus $0.75/hour shift differential!

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate CNC machine controls and change tool settings to keep product dimensions within specified tolerances.
  • Stock and disposition product in multiple machining equipment, as required.
  • Replace, position, & secure cutting tooling in tool holders on CNC machines, using hand tools.
  • Inspect product to verify conformance within required specifications, using a variety of measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Perform limited total productive maintenance at the specified intervals.
  • Perform limited data collection requirements, such as SPC or daily production information.
  • CNC Operator 2 must be proficient in operating one or more of the following additional areas: LPC, Spacers, Pull Rod Components, & BNE work centers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exercise good time management, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Understanding of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to use basic computer skills for PDR and SPC.
  • Consistency and personal accountability are important attributes for this position.
  • Must be able to resolve problems on a daily basis, handle multi-tasking and make effective decisions.
Physical Demands:

Requires prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds. Requires exposure to machines and chemicals. Requires good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and a normal range of hearing and vision (with or without correction).

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Competent in both English and Metric measurement scales.
  • Skill, ability, and work experience in machining is preferred, but not a must.
