We are seeking a Locums Orthopedic Surgeon to establish and grow an elective orthopedic practice in Williamson County, Illinois. This is a unique opportunity to build a high-volume elective practice from a strong foundation with the support of an established health system, dedicated APP assistance, and a collaborative orthopedic team.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Dedicated OR block time available Monday through Friday.
• Dedicated Advanced Practice Provider support.
• Hospitalist team manages admissions for most inpatient cases.
• Strong administrative and clinical infrastructure to support practice growth.
• Limited acute orthopedic and fracture coverage.
• Complex trauma cases transferred to orthopedic traumatology specialists within the health system.
• Opportunity to shape and grow a new orthopedic service line.

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges.
• Interest in building and growing an elective orthopedic surgery practice.
• Comfortable managing a limited amount of acute orthopedic and fracture care.

Preferred

• Experience developing referral networks and growing elective surgical volume.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered, high-quality orthopedic care.

• Generous (above market) hourly rate per 24 hour shift
• All travel arrangements provided and booked by the group, on top of the per shift rate
• Med-mal and tail insurance covered
• Personal locums consultant to manage credentialing and scheduling shifts
