Environmental Engineer
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join us in our Water Business Unit in Marion, Illinois. This position requires 10+ years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES- Recognize and initiate business development opportunities
- Perform and check environmental engineering calculations
- Network with new and existing clients to effectively position for and develop work opportunities
- Interface directly with clients on projects
- Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates.
- Participate in the preparation and checking of environmental construction drawings
- Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks within a project
- Manage all project elements, including budget, schedule, and quality while striving to achieve both project profitability and client satisfaction.
- Oversee the production of effective and high-quality project documents (including reports, drawings, and specifications)
- Manage project teams comprised of various engineering and environmental discipline specialists and associated subconsultants
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Experience in water, sewer, and wastewater design
- Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of one or more design software packages, including HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, Sewer Gems, Info Water, Water Gems, Bio Win, etc.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
SALARY RANGEHorner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
