Job Description:

As a Certified Scrub Tech, you will play a critical role in the surgical team by providing essential support during surgical procedures. Your primary responsibilities include:

Preparation and Sterilization: Ensure the operating room is set up and stocked with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment, adhering to sterilization protocols.

Assisting Surgeons: Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment, passing instruments and supplies as needed during procedures.

Patient Safety: Monitor the sterile field, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and maintaining the safety and well‑being of patients throughout the surgery.

Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of surgical procedures and inventory of instruments and supplies.

Post‑Operative Support: Help in the clean‑up of the operating room after surgery and assist in the proper handling and disposal of surgical waste.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Licenses/Certificates:

Current Basic Life Support certification required

You will work in Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in the surgical center, collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high‑quality patient care during surgical operations.

Compensation:

Hourly Range - $26.25-$39.38

Incentives:

Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
