A Surgical Tech First Assistant, also known as a First Assistant Surgical Technologist, provides advanced support to surgeons during complex surgical procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, assisting during surgery by handling tissue, suturing, managing hemostasis, and ensuring availability of instruments and supplies. They also help with patient positioning and may assist in documenting surgical procedures. The role requires extensive surgical knowledge, manual dexterity, and the ability to respond quickly in a high-stakes environment.
Licenses/Certificates:Current Basic Life Support certification required
Compensation:Hourly Range - $20.00-$30.80
