We are looking for a Hospital Manager to build and develop the team and help this hospital flourish. Our ideal candidate is someone who understands the veterinary industry, is team-oriented, independent, and adaptable. This integral team member will have the backing and support of many caring professionals and the autonomy to manage the practice in the way that works best for patients, clients, and the entire team.
PositionThe Hospital Manager is responsible for supporting the overall business operations. This position is a key part of the day‑to‑day operation. The manager oversees the business of the operations to ensure a steady workflow of uninterrupted care and service. The manager is responsible for the staff, including supporting hiring and training for team needs. He or she will oversee the financial aspects of the business such as billing and banking, inventory, equipment selection, facility cleanliness, and ordering of needed supplies.
This leader will ensure a welcoming and customer‑focused work culture.
- Managing the financial reporting of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, budgeting, income reconciliation, credit and banking.
- Inventory management, including process flow and control.
- Managing patient medical records and ensuring the highest quality of accuracy.
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring of needed staff members.
- Providing training for new hires.
- Scheduling needs for staff and doctors.
- Promotes and helps ensure a patient‑centered environment.
- Facilitates resolutions for client problems that cannot be resolved by doctors or staff.
- Community involvement, including participation in fundraising and charity events.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or relevant education and work experience.
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager is desirable but not required.
- Customer service attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritize.
