American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and strong Med/Surg experience.

• Work in a 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5 with a CNA, or 1:4 when CNA coverage is unavailable
• Care for a medical-surgical and orthopedic patient population
• Requires floating to ED/ICU to care for medical holds only
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Must demonstrate confidence, independence, resilience, and strong change management skills
• The role requires social candidates who can collaborate with the team
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required but subject to change
• First time travelers are eligible for this position

• Active IL RN license is required (no pending or temporary licenses accepted)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with EPIC charting is required
• Must live more than 40 miles from the facility to be eligible
