We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Marion, IL. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

As a Med Surg RN, you will:

• conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• perform ongoing assessments and provide treatments as ordered by a physician.
• document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• prepare equipment and aid physician during examinations and treatments.
• educate patients on surgical procedures.
• participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physician.

Medical Surgical Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20-50 pounds as required.

• BLS certification.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
