• Location: Marion, IL 62959 (Southern Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Unit: Neuro Medical/Surgical Telemetry (22 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float Requirement: May float to medical unit
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950 - $2090

• Active Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse – Illinois)
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment
• Recent experience with EPIC electronic charting
• Neuro nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  
  AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (all current)
• Comfortable caring for medical overflow patients
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• COVID-19 vaccine not required (subject to change)
• Scrub color:
  Navy Blue
• No local candidates (must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Marion, IL)

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro and neuro-surgical patients, including CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram, and general medical cases
• Perform NIHSS and dysphagia screens; conduct thorough neuro assessments
• Interpret basic telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Manage strict intake & output, straight caths, Foley catheters, NG tubes, and indwelling drains
• Initiate and titrate heparin drips; administer blood products; perform venipuncture and blood cultures
• Care for stable IV drips (e.g., Protonix, Lasix)
• Adapt to floating between medical and surgical units as needed
• Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment
