We’re looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Emergency Department team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center. As part of our dedicated care team, you’ll provide safe, patient-centered care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where your skills truly matter.
Job OverviewAn ER Nurse provides critical care to patients in emergency situations. They assess and prioritize patient needs, administer treatments, perform life‑saving procedures, and coordinate with other medical professionals. They also document patient information, manage crises, and provide emotional support to patients and families. Quick decision‑making and the ability to handle high‑pressure situations are essential.
Required Certifications/Licenses- License to practice in the State of Illinois
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification; AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Red Cross PALS; and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Red Cross ALS required upon hire.
- Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN) preferred.
- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) or Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
- START/Jump Start (must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer)
Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
ExperienceAt least one year previous experience in a clinical unit preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required. Requires physical stamina and emotional stability.
CompensationStarting Pay - $35.00-$45.00
IncentivesEligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
BonusPotential for a performance‑based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
