Registered Nurse First Assistant

We’re looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Medical/Surgical team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center. As part of our dedicated care team, you’ll provide safe, patient-centered care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where your skills truly matter.

Provides direct patient care; demonstrates the knowledge, critical thinking and judgment of and integrates the use of evidence-based outcomes for Nursing practice; supervises care delivered; coordinates plan of care; provides education for patients, families and staff; and collaborates with other disciplines. Provides first and second assistance for the attending surgeon during indicated surgical procedures.

• Associate’s degree - Required
• Completion of a Certified Operating Room First Assistant Course

Minimum of three in a OR years relevant exp.

Required

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Preferred

• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• CNOR Certification

Hourly Range - $31.25-$46.88

Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
