What GM and Food is about

Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their needs when assistance is required.
• Thank guests and convey appreciation for choosing to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks to support business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes such as price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services to assist guests and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards and take corrective action where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking, packing, or delivering pickup orders) while maintaining compliance with laws and store policies.
• All other duties as needed based on business needs.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to handle cash register operations as needed
• Ability to climb ladders and move merchandise up to 44 pounds
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions in certain areas
• Shift duration may vary; staying mobile for the full shift
