Overview
Provides direct mental health services to children who have been victims of abuse and trauma. Provides consultation to other health care professionals in the hospital and community as indicated regarding mental health aspects of children’s behavior, and collaborates with multi-disciplinary team. Provides in-service and outreach education on mental health issues/trauma related concerns. Educates the patient and family/significant others to improve patient health outcomes and appropriately involves patients and family/significant others in care and care decisions.
Recognizes and advocates for each patient being an individual with unique health care needs and provides considerate, respectful care affirming the patient's right to make decisions regarding his/her care.
- full time, 40 hours
- M - F, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
- no weekends or holidays
- experience in trauma focused intervention preferred
- serving Michael's House in Greene County and Care House in Montgomery County
- Masters:
Counseling (Required) - Masters:
Social Work (Required)
- LISW - Licensed Independent Social Worker - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board
- LPCC - Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board
