Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time

Responsibilities- Supervise, perform, and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure the quality of care to residents;
- Conduct professional assessments and document residents’ health, assisting with management of the assigned nursing unit staff;
- Participate in the development and implementation of residents’ care plans, maintain up‑to‑date nursing care plans, document progress and make recommendations for revisions to care plans according to facility policy and procedure;
- Make daily and periodic visits to observe symptoms, medication and/or treatment reactions;
- Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements and replacements, cultures, etc.;
- Assist with the orientation and ongoing training of staff to assure required skill levels are maintained for all staff.
- A graduate of an accredited nursing school and hold a valid LPN License in good standing per State and Federal requirements;
- Understands safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana;
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.);
- Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and personnel;
- A passion for caring for people;
- Ability to be discrete, protect confidentiality, and comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA;
- Knowledge of PC use, Word, Excel, and office machines such as fax and copying machines.
