Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an acute inpatient hospital unit requiring 2+ years of recent rehab experience and previous travel experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent rehab nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Competency in fall risk assessment and prevention
• Competency in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Competency in pain assessment and management
• Competency in patient teaching
• Competency in pressure ulcer assessment and prevention
• Competency in wound care
• Professional reference required within the last 12 months from a direct supervisor

Responsibilities

• Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit setting
• Patient population includes endocrine/metabolic, neurological (CVA), gastrointestinal, and genitourinary/renal cases
• Performs blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols, IV therapy, port care and management
• Performs feeding tube care and management, swallowing precautions, and Foley catheter removal
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:30pm-6:00am
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel
• Travel pairs accepted but must have flexible schedules
• Past permanent employees of the facility will not be accepted as travelers
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
