Small Crew Foreman – Telecom Program, Indiana (Elkhart, Valparaiso, Lafayette, Kokomo, Marion)
Responsibilities- Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
- Install and/or relocate aerial and underground cable, including fiber optic, transport, distribution, and drop cable, ensuring compliance with industry standards and timely, cost‑efficient execution.
- Lead telecom line crews through all phases of construction activity.
- Record crew production and time using the company‑provided iPad.
- Must be able to climb poles using pole climber gaffs and have knowledge of setting poles with digger trucks and cable placer trucks for copper and fiber cable.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a small crew foreman, with the ability to detect power‑space violations and safety issues.
- Must be able to lift, reach, dig, and carry heavy objects, with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and infrequent lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Position requires significant manual labor, walking on uneven ground, operating in tight spaces, and overall physical demand; must perform work safely and efficiently.
- Work 4–5 days per week with overtime as needed in an all‑weather environment; willingness to travel as required.
- Possess a CDL‑A driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test, undergo random testing after hire, and complete a customer‑driven background check.
- All applicants must follow safety guidelines, wear personal protective equipment at all times, and speak fluent English.
