Overview
Automation Engineer – Marion at ESCO Group – Scintilla. This role is part of the Automation team and is a contributing technical resource for client projects with a basic understanding of PLC and HMI processes. You will work alongside multi-disciplined engineers to support automation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assist with the design and implementation of industrial automation projects to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Assist with the design, programming, and configuration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interface (HMI) systems to control and monitor industrial processes.
- Perform modifications on existing display objects and templates.
- Understand the flow of industrial processes and collaborate with a diverse team to understand automation requirements.
- Perform necessary modifications on existing programs and identify conflicts to escalate to the appropriate resource.
- Perform delegated work onsite at the direction of the Project Manager or Project Lead; travel to client sites as needed to implement, test, and commission automation systems.
- Possesses basic aptitude with technology and/or industrial environments.
- Demonstrates dedication to keeping up with new technologies, tools, and methodologies; you enjoy interacting with and learning about new technologies.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Able to adapt to changing details and circumstances; looking for ways to better yourself and others.
- Ability to demonstrate proper self-management (e.g., strategic planning, goal setting, evaluation of progress, prioritizing responsibilities); knowledge of personal strengths.
