Prototype BuilderAssemble and build wire harnesses for a variety of different industries by following blueprints, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions in order to efficiently meet the build requirements and timeline of prototype wire harness assemblies.
Responsibilities- Follow customer documentation to assemble prototype wire harnesses
- Route specific wires to specific locations as called for on the blue prints, wiring diagrams, detailed work instructions, and other customer documentation
- Maintain strong communication between Team Leads, Production Supervisors, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Scheduling to communicate progress of assembly
- Communicate issues that may prevent the successful completion of planned work in an effective and timely manner
- Communicate with customers when running into design issues
- Help carryout decisions that are associated with overall goals and objectives as stated in our company policies and as directed by Management
- Assist in ensuring proper quality work is being performed and is in line with company Quality Policies
- Work necessary hours to meet production requirements and customer timelines for prototype assembly.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Must have strong communication skills to communicate with other employee owners, production supervisors, scheduling and sales
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for long periods of time
- Basic math and computer skills
- Highly organized with ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
- Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
- Operate with a sense of requirements
