Overview
Biomedical Engineering Technician I ion, OH.
Under relatively close supervision, the BMET I provides planned maintenance (PMs), electrical safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service on general diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices, as assigned by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities and duties- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and electrical safety testing on non-life-support clinical medical devices (low to medium risk).
- Performs corrective maintenance, assists in installations, and maintains and inspects a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic clinical devices.
- Maintains documentation on new equipment, inspections, and repairs.
- Schedules and oversees third-party repairs as necessary.
- Provides technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation to the end user.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Associate's Degree (Required).
Additional:
Field of Study – Medical electronics or equivalent military-related training.
Years of experience:
Entry Level.
Specialized Knowledge:
Anatomy & physiology and medical terminology, networks and regulatory standards.
Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent military-related training.
