Job Summary

The Applications Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support business operations and improve efficiency. As a member of our small IT team, the Applications Developer will wear many hats, managing multiple projects across the organization. This role includes supporting existing legacy applications while helping to implement and modernize new technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain custom applications, system integrations, and reporting tools
  • Collaborate with production, QA, and operational teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues impacting production or operational efficiency
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve performance, usability, and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
  • Support deployments, updates, and automation initiatives
  • Share a rotating on-call schedule with the IT department
  • Additional IT related duties assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with C#, legacy Windows apps (AVR Visual RPG)
  • Strong experience with SQL Server and relational databases, including query development and optimization
  • Experience with web and desktop application development
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with Power BI, Bartender software, CSS and Reporting Services
  • Knowledge of database design, data structures, and APIs
  • Experience with version control systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
  • Additional skills that are a plus: DBT and Snowflake
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality in production‑critical systems
  • In‑office position
  • Occasional after‑hours support for deployments or critical issues
  • Participation in a rotating on‑call schedule with the IT department
