CNC Production Technician
Location: Marion, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (overtime as needed)
Pay: $20+/hour depending on experience
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire
A growing manufacturer in the Marion area is seeking a dependable CNC Production Technician to support machining operations for a variety of custom metal components. This role involves operating both CNC lathes and CNC milling machines in a dynamic, job‑shop environment.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment (lathe and mill)
- Load raw materials, set tooling, and verify machine readiness
- Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and work instructions
- Perform offset adjustments and minor program edits as needed
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision measurement tools
- Ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality specifications
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical and tooling issues
- Maintain production documentation and keep work area clean and organized
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
- Follow established shop safety procedures
- Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines (both strongly preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and verify tolerances
- Strong measurement and inspection skills
- Ability to adjust tool offsets and perform basic program edits
- Mechanical aptitude; familiarity with G-code is a plus
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
