Assured Safety Recruitment is partnering with a respected UK manufacturing group to find a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager for their high-volume production facility in Shropshrire. This is a business that doesn t just talk about safety

As part of the Site Leadership Team, you ll take the lead on HSE strategy, supported by a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment Advisor. The role calls for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership someone who can engage teams, influence behaviours, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a site-specific health, safety and environment improvement plan to manage risks and ensure legal compliance

• Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across all departments

• Lead internal and external audits to maintain high standards

• Oversee emergency preparedness and contractor/visitor safety procedures

• Provide expert HSE guidance across site operations

• Implement Group SHE systems, initiatives, and campaigns locally

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely statutory reporting

• Mentor the SHE Advisor and lead the SHE Committee for effective governance

What We re Looking For

• Proven experience leading HSE strategy in a large manufacturing or industrial setting

• Strong communication and engagement skills across all levels of the business

• A proactive, visible leader who can influence culture and behaviours

• Ideally a Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety or actively working towards it

• Solid understanding of technical and legislative risk management
