Vehicle Technician

Our client is actively recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. Basic salary up to £40,000 depending on experience, with performance-based bonuses
Monday to Friday working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm
One in three Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm, paid at 1.5x rate

Duties:

Conduct comprehensive vehicle safety inspections and diagnostics
Use manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment to identify faults
Perform servicing, repairs, and vehicle maintenance to meet manufacturer standards
Complete vehicle health checks adhering to dealership protocols
Carry out MOT testing if qualified, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Uphold health and safety procedures within the workshop environment
Ensure all work is documented correctly and communicates findings effectively to customers

Requirements:

Minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Proven experience in vehicle servicing, inspections, and repair work
MOT licence desirable but not essential
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills essential for the Vehicle Technician role
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
