Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step into leadership?

An established, multi‑site small animal practice in Leicestershire & Northamptonshire is looking for a Clinical Director to lead its experienced clinical team and play a key role in the future growth of the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into an autonomous leadership position where you’ll have genuine influence over clinical standards, team development and the strategic direction of a thriving first‑opinion practice—all while continuing to enjoy clinical work.

As Clinical Director, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons
• Maintain exceptional clinical standards and patient care
• Support service development and practice growth
• Contribute to operational and strategic decision‑making
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture where both people and patients thrive

You’ll be supported by an experienced Practice Manager, Lead Vets, Head Nurse, Head Receptionist and wider business support team, allowing you to focus on leading the practice and helping your team succeed.

• MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills
• Passion for leadership, mentoring and developing others
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Collaborative, approachable and forward‑thinking
• Previous leadership experience welcomed but not essential
  —full training and leadership development are available

• Salary up to £75,000 DOE
• Flexible working pattern (minimum 30 hours across 4 days)
• No on‑call commitments
• £1,750 CPD budget plus certificate support
