King Group is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at King Trailers in Market Harborough. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the shop floor team, ensuring production output, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands‑on supervisory role and is passionate about continuous improvement, teamwork, and delivering high standards of workmanship.

Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve departmental goals.

Manage workflow, labour allocation, and daily production targets.

Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Interpret technical drawings and support weld quality coordination.

Drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Monitor hours worked, taking proactive steps to prevent overruns and non‑productive time.

Liaise with quality and engineering teams to minimise rework and champion a right‑first‑time approach.

Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance and encouraging best practice.

Compile production reports and provide regular performance updates to management.

Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of all production equipment.

Proven experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor or Team Leader.

Strong knowledge of MIG/TIG welding and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Experience with in the trailer manufacturing industry.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and quality standards.
