Assistant Buyer

Assistant Buyer | Menswear Leicestershire | Permanent | Full Time We are recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join a fast-growing fashion brand based in Leicestershire working across Menswear and an exciting new brand licence. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer with a strong menswear background to contribute to the development of commercially successful, trend-led collections.

You will work across the full product lifecycle, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to help shape ranges from initial concept through to production.

The Role As Assistant Buyer, you will:
Support the development of commercial, trend-led menswear ranges across own-label and licensed brands. Analyse sales performance, market activity and emerging trends to identify new product opportunities. Work closely with suppliers throughout the product development process. Support fit sessions and ensure garments meet required fit, quality, colour and material standards. Manage lab dips, strike-offs and product approvals ahead of production. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive costs and commercial targets.

Coordinate samples for range reviews, meetings and photoshoots. Collaborate with Buying, Design, Technical and Marketing teams to ensure ranges are commercially aligned and successfully delivered. Manage multiple priorities across the product lifecycle while maintaining critical deadlines. About You We are looking for an Assistant Buyer with:
Previous Assistant Buyer experience within menswear fashion. Strong trend awareness and knowledge of the menswear market. Experience supporting the development of own-label fashion ranges . Strong commercial awareness and confidence analysing sales and performance. Supplier management and cost negotiation experience. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive, entrepreneurial approach and confidence contributing new ideas. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
