SE Health is seeking a Payroll Accounting Specialist with Workday experience to lead the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role is integral in our mission to enhance healthcare across Canada through innovative practices.
As a Payroll Accountant, your expertise will drive the payroll accounting lifecycle, from journal entry processing to detailed reconciliations. Collaborating with HR and finance, you will ensure internal controls are upheld and that payroll runs smoothly. Your analytical mindset will play a critical role in supporting our financial integrity and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare payroll journal entries and ensure accuracy
• Support reconciliation of payroll clearing and settlement accounts
• Conduct thorough payroll audits and validation checks
• Design audit controls for compliance and accuracy
• Oversee payroll funding and cash forecasting
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, HR, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in payroll accounting processes
• Familiarity with Workday Payroll configurations
• Strong Excel skills for data manipulation
• Proven knowledge of payroll principles and reconciliation processes
