This role offers exposure to a diverse client portfolio and the opportunity to work across assurance, tax, advisory, and client relationship management functions. Aboutthe Role
Reporting to senior leadership, this position will support a variety of assurance and tax engagements for clients across multiple industries. The role combines technical accounting responsibilities with opportunities to mentor junior staff, contribute to process improvements, and support ongoing client relationships.
What You’ll Do- Conduct Audit and Review including planning, design and performing appropriate procedures and testings, preparing working papers, financial statements and note disclosure in accordance with ASPE
- Streamline the preparation of year‑end engagements (e.g., compilation) and tax returns for clients across diverse industries
- Set‑up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses; manage multiple files simultaneously
- Handle pre‑ and post‑assessment reviews inquired by the CRA including analytical support, collection of information and preparation of responses
- Prepare and review T1, T2, GST/HST, T4 and T5
- Establish and cultivate positive working relationships with clients and promptly address their requests and suggestions
- Maintain prompt communication with manager/partner regarding progress updates and issues while coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
- CPA designation or CFE completed
- 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ASPE, and Canadian taxation
- Experience working with accounting and tax software including Caseware, Tax Prep, Tax Prep forms and Quickbooks
- Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
