WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition and invoicing processes, including collections.
- Perform ASC 606 analysis for active and new contracts and verify compliance with contract terms, schedules, and agreements.
- Own the cash process on active contracts from invoicing to collections, including tax considerations for different provinces/states.
- Track deferred revenue and forecast revenue recognition under ASC 606, perform prior period variance analysis and annotated reporting.
- Prepare, reconcile, and verify project accounting information to contribute to accuracy and timeliness of the Company’s financials.
- Provide high quality, timely support and problem resolution for the organization’s goals and financial results.
- Review technical accounting memos as appropriate.
- Prepare, reconcile and review financial reports required for internal and external reporting.
- Provide support for various audits and tax requests as needed.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
- Build and maintain ongoing inter and intra-departmental working relationships to assist team members and focus on driving team and organizational goals.
- Process Improvement, Documentation and Project Management.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
- 4+ years experience, specializing in contract accounting and revenue recognition. Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required;
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. - US CPA License is preferred, CFC and/or CGMA designation preferred.
- In-depth understanding of federal contracting requirements.
- Able to work in a fast moving environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Co-Pilot preferred.
- Experience/knowledge with Canada provincial, local and other tax requirements preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Excel.
- Strong knowledge of ERP accounting software required;
Jamis Prime and/or Sage Intacct experience is a plus. - Ability to effectively present information on a regular basis to management, and others as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to fluently communicate in English. Ability to Communicate (orally and in writing) in Spanish is a plus.
